Conceived as 3 capsules of 10 seconds each, this series acts as a didactic guide for Maison Valentino’s offer to take back old clothes from the brand in exchange for vouchers.
With the aim of producing a visual result where the form corresponds to the content, we imagined with the director a very manual style. That is to say, a 3D environment allowing a continuous camera movement, the sequence shot necessary for the circular movement of the campaign, on which we intervened in real stop motion to animate the movements of the main objects.
Again in an attempt to avoid the initial cold feeling of 3D, the human characters are flattened, their features erased and they are animated in stop motion, giving them a puppet-like appearance that encourages the imagination.
The result, quite experimental in its execution, blurs the information on the genre of the video, the tools and techniques used for its production. Above all, it refers to the beginnings of animated cinema through its clumsiness and surrealism.
