The opening sequence of this French Drill clip was intended to give clues to the story that follows; a post-apocalyptic world overtly inspired by Blade Runner 2049. The main credits glitch on the holographic screen in the lower left corner of the microchip.The sharp slow motion keeps you in suspense until the moment of impact, amplified by sound effects.
This is the second avenue explored, after «Akira», of the possibilities of integrating typography into a 3D sequence. A first 2D creation, the typographic part animated on After Effect, is then used as a texture on a three-dimensional object, giving a disturbing touch of realism.
